Earth Hour is happening now, 8:30pm to 9:30pm on 28th March 2009. I looked out of my window. I don’t see anything out of the ordinary. Still plenty of lights are on. I guess, most people don’t care. After all, switching off lights is merely a symbolic gesture. If you really are concerned, you’d need to do something much more significant.

What am I doing? I just had dinner, and I’m now posting this from my notebook (yes, running off battery power). Yeah I couldn’t resist turning on the TV. National Geographic is broadcasting information to highlight the Earth Hour event. The History channel is running a Global Warming programme.

Earth Hour 2009 is getting lots of publicity. Whether people actually change is, of course, another matter altogether.
