		<description>Not quite... Microsoft Surface (from what I am reading from Wikipedia) became available in April 2008, although it was first announced in May 2007. The iPhone, on the other hand, was announced in January 2007 and became available end June 2008. That makes Apple earlier than Microsoft. But okay, the iPhone is not a Mac.</description>

I don&#039;t view Microsoft as a device maker but they did have investments in other companies that deal with multitouch. Apple bought Fingerworks to do this. Microsoft updates their operating system to support multitouch.</description>
