We haven’t come to this restaurant for some time, so we were quite pleasantly surprised that they have remained quite the same as before. Same ambience, the same food, same pricing, and about the same promotions too. It’s a quiet little Japanese fusion restaurant situated in a corner of the 2nd level of Bugis Junction, but they can get quite crowded. Service is good and the staff are friendly.
Ma Maison has a homely ambience to it. The restaurant uses lots of woody stuffs, from heavy wood furniture to authentic looking wooden structural beams. The place is also decorated with lots of authentic looking things, like pots and pans, posters, and paintings.
The food is reasonably priced too, and it’s pretty good considering the price you’re paying. I was quite delighted to notice that their family promotion is still on-going. Basically, when a family dines together, the kids get free toys, the mother gets a free dessert, and the father gets free beer.
I ordered a striploin set meal. It comes with soup, salad and coffee. All of that for just $12.90.
The escargots, 6 pieces of them, cost $9.50. It was served on a bed of salt that was set alight at our table. Nice to look at.
I understand they have another branch at The Central, but I’ve only been to this one at Bugis Junction.
