I realized that whatever has been embedded still works. So for now, new posts I just upload new photos using WP's built-in mechanism. I also use Gallery as my main gallery, though I haven't updated it in a while. I guess I'm looking at two options moving forward: 1. Maintain Gallery independently from WP. Clumpsy. 2. Perhaps look at using NextGEN. And risk the problem possibly happening with NextGEN in future too. :P Nope. I realized that whatever has been embedded still works.
