We have our own version of the Coca Cola Friendship Machine. If you’re around in the NUS area tomorrow, head over to the foyer area in front of LT14. Locate the Coca Cola vending machine, just like the one pictured here, give it a big hug (there’s a right way to do it), and it’ll dispense a free Coke. Yes, how cool is that?
It isn’t quite the same thing as the other Coca Cola Friendship Machines. I’ve heard the previous one in Argentina stands at 12 feet tall, and basically requires a buddy to help boost your reach to buy your coke. The machine rewards the friendship by dispensing two Cokes instead of one.
This one’s a little different. You just got to give it a nice hug. The trick, of course, is to figure out how to give that hug. If you do… you get your reward! No need to spend any money, no up-front investment.
I’m told that there’s a second Friendship Machine located within University Town. I don’t know exactly where. Have fun finding it though!
