As I drove around the F1 race track (to-be) this morning, I noted how like everywhere else in Singapore the road surface was so scarred by incessant trenching works, and there were so many little detours because road works were forever happening. Did the F1 organizers want to come to Singapore, because of the challenging road conditions that we have to offer to the race drivers? No I think not. Probably before the F1 race season descends on Singapore, the…

Griping about Wireless@SG, Again
That’s how it is with captive portals, you are redirected to a web page to login, and there you have to type your username and password. Can you imagine how inconvenient it is to login from a mobile device such as a mobile phone or PDA? Even if it does have a tiny weenie keyboard? Is there an auto-login client for Wireless@SG? Can IDA sponsor someone to write a client for Symbian OS and Windows Mobile?

I Hate Writing Minutes
I hate writing minutes. I wonder why hasn’t anyone yet invented an automatic minute taker. It doesn’t help when people in the meeting talk nonsense 90% of the time, jump back and forth between multiple topics, and some people speak for the sake of being heard. Sometimes it takes hours to write the minutes. They should have called it Hours. And, how often do minutes actually get read?
From N73 to the N95 8GB
After my previous phone contract ran out in April, I didn’t go get a new phone rightaway. There wasn’t anything particularly interesting then that struck my fancy. I was using an N73, which was a great phone, and although there were other “better” phones available, none were compelling upgrades. Until now, when the N95 8GB washed up on our shores. The N73 is still a great phone. But the N95 8GB has come out to emerge as the new leader…

Tempted by the N95 8GB
I finally succumbed to temptation and found myself having to get the latest Nokia N95 8GB phone. So after much online research, including comparing telco price plans, I finally trotted down to a SingTel hello! store over the weekend. The crowd was horrendous (blogged here). I eventually gave up on that Saturday night, and returned back before the opening time, 11am, the next morning. To my surprise… there was a long queue already formed. What was happening? SingTel wasn’t giving…
One Zinger Burger to Go
“Just one Zinger burger to go.” “Okay. Having here?” “No, to go.” “Having here?” Okay, she doesn’t understand “to go”. Alright, perhaps most of us would say “take away” or even “packet”.
My Poor Baby
Oh no, my poor baby has chicken pox. Just prior to her 6th month birthday, she was diagnosed with Grade 2 VUR. Now, just one day before her 7th month birthday, she has the chicken pox. It’s only just beginning, so she’s not quite affected yet. But I can imagine she’d become quite irritated by the itchiness and fever in the days to come. Hopefully she’s still too young to know how to scratch her poxes. I wonder what’s the…
