It’s no longer just a rumour. The Nokia N96 has just been officially announced. You can read more about the product specs from the Nseries website. In a nutshell, the Nokia N96 has more of less the same features as the N95 8GB and N82, but in a slightly bigger version of the N81 shell. It’s a 2-way slider, it’s camera is still 5 megapixels, but it has a built-in DVB-H receiver (yes digital broadcast TV), and a massive 16GB…

First Hands On The MacBook Air
Finally, I laid my hands on the real MacBook Air. It isn’t mine, but well, it’s my first sighting of the real thing in Singapore. It’s actually a bit of an anti-climax. The MacBook Air is exactly as I have expected it to be. After so much media attention on the new gadget, tons of detailed reviews on the Internet, just reading about it is almost as good as having held it. The most spectacular thing, as we have already…

Is There GST or No GST?
On the fourth day of CNY, baby, wifey and me went to Guthrie House at Sixth Avenue. We originally wanted to get coffee at Coffee Bean, but their indoor seating was full. So we ended up next door at Gelateria which sells gelato ice cream. We’ve been there before actually. The ice cream is quite nice. I just happened to notice this time an odd bit about their receipt. Apparently the prices we paid included $0.48 of GST, but at…
Yummy Dress
This dress must be so yummy. Vanessa keeps licking the furry bits! — Posted from my N95 Lifeblog.
On The Third Day of CNY
Baby Vanessa is enjoying the company of both her daddy and mummy for the entire day the last few days. Since we both work, the weekends are mainly the only time we get to spend all day with her. The last two days I’ve been feeding her blueberry cheese cake that we bought for her 10th month birthday. She totally enjoys and cannot get enough of the cheesecake. Actually… this girl just loves to eat everything, or perhaps she just…
Warcraft 3
It’s funny how sometimes you chance upon a game and remain attached to it even while the rest of the world has mostly moved on to newer stuffs. For example, I’m still playing Warcraft 3. It’s actually Warcraft 2 that I like to play, but sadly Warcraft 2 is long gone, I can’t find the CDROM and even if I could, I don’t think it will run on Windows XP anyway. I like Warcraft 2 because the game is so…
Baby’s First Lunar New Year
Vanessa celebrated her first Lunar New Year today! She didn’t sleep very much today with all the excitement happening around her, especially with meeting so many people, and probably the many more who are complete strangers to her. She wasn’t very much in the mood for anyone else to carry her, but otherwise she did a bit of entertaining waving goodbyes and doing her Gong Xi gesture.
Baby’s First Reunion Dinner
Vanessa had her first buffet dinner at this CNY’s reunion dinner. It’s also her first reunion dinner. We went to the coffee house at Grand Plaza Park Hotel. Vanessa was nibbling bits and pieces of many things. I think she was enjoying herself. She was fussing around quite a lot initially, but her daddy (i.e. me) hijacked her and distracted her with all the exciting things happening in and around the restaurant and she quickly became quite happy with the…
Hiring More Super Engineers
We’re still looking to hire more staff to support our Network, Data Centre and IT Security operations. It is the same super engineers kind of work I blogged previously, but this a technologist position targeted at polytechnic graduates. Our priority for this position is in Network, Data Centre and IT Security operations, in decreasing order. Let me know if you’re interested.
