Urgent WordPress Security Update

Security updates keeps us busy during festive holidays again. The last one with WordPress 2.3.2 kept us occupied prior to the 2008 New Year. Today, the new WordPress 2.3.3 release happens just prior to the Lunar New Year. The major focus of this security release is to fix a flaw in the XML-RPC implementation. Other XML-RPC problems were also plugged in the previous WordPress release. Holidays or not… you should try to upgrade ASAP! More details on 2.3.3 here.

Bak Kwa Not Up to Standard

It seems this CNY season, all the Bak Kwa standard have fallen below expectations. Even from “normally OK” brands like Bee Cheng Hiang… hmm, they don’t make the cut. I don’t know, but I suppose they are employing temporary inexperienced staff to do the BBQ’ing? Or are they substituting their usual stock with inferior quality pork? Ok, must remember to protect my bak kwa from Phoebe and Rascal. Especially Phoebe.

Enough with CitiPhone

“Your call is important to us, that’s why we ask you to hold…” Yah right. If my call was important enough, I would not be kept on hold. 10 minutes is way too long to be kept on hold. Clearly, it doesn’t help to be a Platinum VISA cardholder, because calling the Citibank Platinum Services hotline, which by the way is not toll-free, didn’t make any difference. I still had to wait like forever.

Baby’s 10th Month Update

Baby Vanessa is 10 months old today. This is how she looks now, sleeping with *ahem* her favourite pacifier. Vanessa now has 8 teeth, and she’s crawling around quite fast. It’s quite funny to see her crawling with Rascal and Phoebe running around her. Phoebe even rolls over to let Vanessa sayang her!
