Apple has announced their refreshed notebook models for both the MacBook and MacBook Pro lines. Much of the earlier rumours have turned out to be quite accurate, such as the one about new MacBooks being carved out of a block of aluminum. An interesting twist is that there are now no trackpad buttons, because the entire trackpad itself is the button. Cool for people like me who don’t use the button anyway.

Five Star Chicken Rice
This is the popular Five Star Chicken Rice on Cheong Kim Nam Road. Amazing how places like there move with the times to adopt new technology. Here they use wireless PDA devices to take orders and have them transmitted to the kitchen. — Posted from my N95 Lifeblog.
Spaghetti Aglio Olio
The Spaghetti Aglio Olio with prawns at Swensons. I put chilli and tobassco sauce in it, and found that Vanessa enjoys eating it! Seems like this baby will be loving chilli and spicy stuff. — Posted from my N95 Lifeblog.
Cova Italian Restaurant
This is the $15 American Breakfast set at Cova Italian Restaurant. Comes with bread, croissant and juice. Oddly enough coffee is not included. Service wasn’t very prompt. Seems like teething problems of a new setup. — Posted from my N95 Lifeblog.
Why Do Ugly Things Work Better
I’ve been evaluating a couple of software lately. I’m looking for a nice platform to do tons of documentation. I talk about “nice”, because things need to be beautiful for people to want to use. But at the same time, they have to work. Actually, having to work is even more important. It is such a dilemma sometimes when you have to choose between what’s beautiful and what works.
New Apple MacBooks Carved Out Of A Brick
Yes rumours are circulating about the “Brick”. What is the “Brick” Apple is rumoured to be making a product announcement on October. Is the “Brick” a new MacBook? Or is it a totally new product line? Well, the latest information from the rumour mill says that the “Brick” is not a product, but refers to a revolutionary manufacturing process. New MacBook and MacBook Pro notebooks will be carved out of a block of aluminum.
Ampang Yong Tau Foo
This is the Ampang Yong Tau Foo at Suntec Fountain Terrace food court. Not very nice in my opinion. The best is the one along Upper Thomson. — Posted from my N95 Lifeblog.
An Update On The Nokia E66
The truth is, my wife’s Nokia E66 hasn’t been playing well. It kept hanging, the display kept blanking, and it just hasn’t been playing nice. We sent the phone to Nokia Care, where it stayed a few days. When it came back, we were told the LCD display was replaced, and the firmware re-flashed. Unfortunately, the phone continued to hang, and the display continued to blank off randomly.
Artist At Work
Vanessa has started to draw. Here’s a picture of her trying to create her drawing master piece. Doesn’t she look like she’s very serious with her work? Ha ha, we’ll be lucky if most of the ink or whatever the colours are made off get onto the paper, because she also likes to draw on her own arm! She looks like more grown up than the 1.5 years old she actually is. Oh yes, Vanessa is exactly 18 months old…
