This is the Nasi Briyani with Mutton at Red Ginger. It’s not spectacular, but can pass. — Posted from my N95 Lifeblog.

Buffet At Marriott Cafe
Last weekend, we had the lunch buffet at Marriott Cafe. We’ve tried their lunch and high-tea buffets before and thought they were quite good, although that was quite some time ago. We noticed there’s slightly more variety in their buffet spread this time (at least the buffet was taking up more table space). It’s still not plentiful variety in my opinion, but at least the food is generally good. One of the new items is the Live Drunken Prawns. There’s…
Tang Dian Wang’s Plate
Vanessa was somehow greatly offended by the pictures at the bottom of this plate she got at Tang Dian Wang. I couldn’t even recall what the picture was. By the time I realized what she was up to, she had covered it with the Lotus Leaf Rice. Yeah, not cheap plain white rice, but expensive flavourful Lotus Leaf Rice. She was very insistent that the whole bottom of the plate had to be covered, no part of the picture could…
Epson Stylus CX9300F
I’ve finally gotten around to setting up my new Epson Stylus CX9300F. This is the same as the Epson Stylus CX9400F sold in other markets (e.g. USA). This printer prints, scans, copies and faxes. It comes standard with an automatic document feeder, but there is no duplexer (nor is it an available option). It can also print directly from a variety of memory cards.
Live Drunken Prawns at Marriott Cafe
A new addition to the buffet spread at Marriott Cafe is the live drunken prawns (at least since my last visit). It’s not bad, though I thought the cold prawns from the appetizer table were better. The buffet lunch costs $46. — Posted from my N95 Lifeblog.
Maxtor OneTouch 4 Mini
I recently came into possession of a 320GB Maxtor OneTouch 4 Mini (i.e. it was given to me). It’s a nice little compact and light 2.5″ external hard disk, convenient for carrying around with a notebook. If they could have a 320GB USB thumb drive, that would be even better. But I guess until such time we make do with these external disks. There’s nothing really spectacular with the Maxtor OneTouch 4 Mini. Don’t get me wrong, there’s nothing wrong…
PC Wants To Be A Mac
There are many nice things about the Mac. Some of them are definitely the envy of PC. Sometimes the PC cannot resist the temptation to copy. But you know what? Sometimes the copy is so duh. Here’s something I just came across: Multi-Touch gestures for the PC. Yes, Multi-Touch is now no longer exclusive to the MacBooks and iPhones.
Hyper Text Coffee Pot Control Protocol
One of my favourite products of IETF, the internet protocol standards body, is their publication of the Hyper Text Coffee Pot Control Protocol (HTCPCP) in RFC 2324. As a coffee drinker, I was quite intrigued about the idea of using the Internet to manage coffee brewing. HTCPCP is a protocol for managing devices capable of brewing the all-time popular caffeinated hot beverage. HTCPCP is important, because computer geeks, and indeed Internet addicts, are heavily dependent on this rejuvenating beverage.
Epson Stylus CX9300F At Bargain Price
We were looking around for a new printer, because the Epson Stylus CX5900 we have at home stopped working. One printer that caught our attention while we were at Challenger this morning was the Epson Stylus CX9300F. It’s the usual All-In-One that goes for $328 (or $308 for Challenger members). Just by chance while I was at Harvey Norman this evening, I found they were selling the printer for only $208! After a brief phone call with my wife, I…
Wan Chai Hong Kong Tea Room
This is the Ham & Cheese Bread Toast from Wan Chai Hong Kong Tea Room at IMM. It’s somewhat like pizza, and it’s quite good. We also had the shui jiao mian for breakfast, which is not bad too. These are the few things which this restaurant gets done good. I’ve been there a few times and noted that the food wasn’t really all that wonderful. The congee were quite plain, and they utterly fail at half-boiled eggs.
