Something’s brewing at the Apple Store. A new product update. The online Apple Stores are all “unavailable” at the moment. Tt’s the sign that they’re preparing to introduce a new product or update an existing product. What product will it be? The only thing I’ve heard so far is the 2TB Time Capsule.

The Cake That Vanessa Did Not Have
Just for record sake, in case we want to come back to read this blog many years down the road, this is Vanessa’s Tweety Bird birthday cake. The cake she did not have. (Neither did Papa and Mummy.) It’s ordered from Benjawan Solo. Chocolate filling in the centre, IIRC. Not that it matters much since we didn’t get to try it anyway.
Vanessa’s Birthday Party
Since she was down with suspected HFMD and had to be isolated at home, we had a simple birthday celebration for her at home on Friday night. Just Daddy, Mummy and Baby Vanessa. What’s for dinner? Ah Yat Seafood Restaurant
This is the $100 snow crab from Ah Yah Seafood Restaurant. It’s $100 for just one single crab. After the recent episode with $30 prawns ($239 for 8 prawns) at Newton Circus Food Centre, this $100 crab sounds awfully expensive too. But this crab is really huge. Taking Stock of My Two Year Old Blog
This blog is two years old today. It’s the same age as Vanessa. In fact, the first post on this blog was actually about her birth at TMC. Two years is not short in terms of “Internet time”. I’m not the kind to celebrate birthdays of websites, not even to remember them. But I suppose this one is different because it coincides with Vanessa’s birthday. Down With HFMD For Her Birthday
Vanessa will be two years old tomorrow. She should be in school celebrating her birthday. But it’s so unfortunate that she’s possibly down with HFMD. I hope it’s a false alarm though. Although she started having a little diarrhoea yesterday, followed by a mild fever today, she otherwise does seem quite well. But we were quite startled this morning to discover what looked like an ulcer on a tongue.
Seizing Control of Vanessa’s Computer
One of the ways to keep Vanessa occupied is to sit her in front of a computer “tuned” into the Sesame Street website. You can see in the photo how attentive she is to the computer monitor. The trouble is that she also likes to press the keys on the keyboard which, as you might expect, may occasionally interfere with the web browser, causing it to load another page, switch to another application, etc. I can’t take the keyboard away,…
