Baby Vanessa went galavanting around Suntec City with her daddy (me) recently, and we ended up at the Koi Garden. I bought her a packet of fish food to feed the Koi fishes in the pond. She was extremely careful with the feed she was dishing out to the fishes. Only one morsel of feed each time. So you can imagine we ended up taking quite a long time to finish up that packet of feed.
This is Princess Vanessa, all dressed up in her crown of bubbles. She is thoroughly enjoying her bubble bath. Actually I guess she generally likes water a lot, because she also enjoys splashing around in the swimming pool (it is like her giant bath tub). The other babies her age in the pool generally look to be rather apprehensive of the water. But Vanessa is quite the opposite, totally exhilarated splashing water all over.
We brought Vanessa to the Jacob Ballas Children’s Garden last weekend for some photo taking. At the end of it, she (and the other kids) were playing around in the water feature. Vanessa was having so much fun with the water. She tried to stand exactly where the water would land on her face. Then, she was practically tasting a bit of all the water that was spouting out from all over the water feature.
I brought Vanessa to the playground today, and put her on the slide. It’s her first time on the slide, and she was not sure what she was supposed to do on the slide. Initially, she held on to the sides and tried to inch down bit by bit. Later, she also tried to crawl down the slide. She even wanted to stand up on the slide (wah, so advanced liao…!). Haha, I tried to help her into a sliding…
If you’ve not seen my previous post of my baby and the PowerBook, you should take a look. Here she is again, this time with the new MacBook. I opened up the display to let her bang on the keyboard a little. When I tried to close up the display and take back the MacBook, she actually protested and cried! Haha, I think she’s going to be a gadget baby. She also loves to play with remote controls, car keys,…
Look at how this baby is all over the Mac notebook. I think she totally wants to own this Mac. Nevermind that it is a bit dated and no where as slick as the latest MacBook Air. Nevermind that she actually doesn’t have very much use of the Mac. At least not in the traditional sense of what the notebook is intended to be used for. But still she is having so much fun with the Mac. That’s even before…
Exactly 1 year ago, we were in Thomson Medical Centre celebrating the birth of baby Vanessa. From a tiny little baby, Vanessa has grown into a chubby baby, probably weighing over 10kg now. Quite a weight to carry around nowadays! We had a little party for Vanessa last Saturday, although she probably doesn’t understand what all the fussing and activities were about. Sometimes it seems 1st birthday parties are really for the adults eh?
Baby Vanessa is 10 months old today. This is how she looks now, sleeping with *ahem* her favourite pacifier. Vanessa now has 8 teeth, and she’s crawling around quite fast. It’s quite funny to see her crawling with Rascal and Phoebe running around her. Phoebe even rolls over to let Vanessa sayang her!
Vanessa is exactly 9 months old today! Yet another milestone in her babyhood. She is getting more and more adorable each day (not that she wasn’t previously, but you know when she grows up she becomes adorable in new ways). Particularly since lately she’s been in the mood to want Daddy to carry her. I think most of last month Daddy was mostly a carrier to transport her from point A to point B.
The day before, Vanessa started getting a high fever and didn’t seem to respond well to medication. That was good enough reason to get me the afternoon off from my ICT yesterday. Vanessa actually seemed to be doing ok at mid day, but unfortunately, her high fever returned and she started to vomit.
