Well, we arrived at the child care centre. She wasn’t all smiles on her face at that time, but she wasn’t upset either. I guess she was just slightly apprehensive of the environment. But she didn’t cry or want to run away. We sat her down at table to have her breakfast. Her teacher was next to her. Vanessa immediately offered some food to her teacher! It looked like she was quite settled in already. A few moments later, we stepped out of the place. We didn’t even have to “secretly disappear”.
On her first day at the child care centre, she didn’t cry at all. Apparently she just asked for mummy once. On her second day, she even waved us “bye bye” when we dropped her off at the child care centre. It looks like she’s going to be a very independent little girl.
Sigh, Vanessa’s growing up so fast. It’s making me feel sad that her baby-hood will go by so soon. On the one hand, I’m proud of my little girl boldly starting a new phase of her life; but on the other it is like she doesn’t need her daddy and mummy so much anymore.
