Today, at 14 months and 1 day, baby Vanessa finally graduated to the next stage of baby-hood — walking unassisted! Yeah, I think she seems quite smug about her new skill. But oh no, the parents will now have to run around chasing her all over the house. Hmm, oh dear, and the poor Rascal and Phoebe are going to get chased all over the house! I don’t know whether the dogs will like it, but at least they get more company and play time if it turns out this way. Haha.
An interesting thing with many babies is that they can tell the difference between a toy and the real thing. Vanessa, for example, is not interested in toy phones. She wants the real phone. My niece likes to play with my dad’s glasses, but not the toy sun glasses he bought for her. Vanessa also loves to play with wallets, and she knows how to go for credit cards and cash, and to chuck aside other pieces of paper.
