The first was at a roundabout. I was already in the roundabout. A P-plate vehicle simply drove into the roundabout, cutting in just in front of me. The driver had simply entered the roundabout without looking at traffic at all. He looked youngish… I would be guessing, student.
Then, just a little further down the road, three PRC students (at least that’s how they looked) started crossing the road on the other side. They looked for traffic on their side of the road when they were already on the road. They reached the midway point, and already started taking a step onto my side of the road, then they looked in my direction and realized there was on-coming traffic. One froze. The other two paused a split second, then continued crossing, then changed their minds and walked backwards.
Sigh.
I think NUS needs to teach our dear students how to use the roads properly.
