Banking with Citi Mobile

Mobile banking has taken another step forward with the Citi Mobile iPhone app, which you can already start downloading to install into your iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad. It’s overall an improvement of existing functions, but the great thing is the introduction of new features. The convenience of online banking and being able to access its related promotional services are just superb. We live in this digitally-connected generation… everything just needs to be online and mobile.

Mobile Banking in the Citi

I was recently invited to explore Citibank’s newly launched mobile banking services. It’s a nice and convenient way to experience banking services while on-the-go. One of these is Citi Mobile, which is basically a mobile web friendly version of their banking website at http://www.citibank.com.sg/, the same URL as their regular banking website. The “500 Internal Server Error” is a pretty common catch-all error message generated by many web server software. I’m sure everyone has seem something like it at some point or other, and we all come to accept it as a “okay”. But it is not okay for an internet banking website to sport such errors. Enough with CitiPhone

“Your call is important to us, that’s why we ask you to hold…” Yah right. If my call was important enough, I would not be kept on hold. 10 minutes is way too long to be kept on hold. Clearly, it doesn’t help to be a Platinum VISA cardholder, because calling the Citibank Platinum Services hotline, which by the way is not toll-free, didn’t make any difference. I still had to wait like forever.
