Baby’s Second Month
[photopress:200706031984_1.jpg,thumb,pp_image] Baby Vanessa is two months old today. We don’t have any special celebration. Well except that perhaps her daddy’s friend dropped in with his baby boy (and mum) for a quick visit in the morning, so the two babies had several moments to attempt some socializing. Vanessa has become more picky with things. I suppose she’s now more aware of her surroundings. So for example, she has strong preferences with how she is carried, moved around, etc. She is spending less time sleeping too.
Speaking of sleep, she had a rather amusing delayed reaction to waking up the other morning. The fire alarm at my place went off (false alarms happen now and then). The bell ringing is truly spectacularly loud, particularly since our back door was open (the bell is just outside the door). I thought baby will wake up to the jarring sound… so rushed to check on her. Oh she was still sound asleep. The bell stopped ringing, I went out. Just as soon as I sat down… Vanessa started wailing. Hmm maybe she liked the bell ringing and was complaining that it stopped?
