The 6-in-1 Jab

Wednesday, May 16th, 2007

Vanessa had her 6-in-1 jab today. She protested with a cry when her jab site was swabbed with alcohol, but she was quite ok with the injection itself. That’s good if she’s not going to be scared of injections. She had her baby stats taken today — 5.06kg. Grown a fair bit.

We were just telling the doctor about how Vanessa often pukes out a bit of her milk. Doctor said dun worry, that’s normal. Then Vanessa decided to demonstrate the puking a little. Oh yah, the doctor said that’s normal. Ok, she puked more… and more (more than her usual amount). Soon her milk was all over the doctor’s table and we were all scrambling to get tissue to soak up the mess :P Oh still normal says the doctor :)

Baby’s Full Month

Tuesday, May 1st, 2007

[photopress:200705011830.jpg,thumb,pp_image]Today is baby’s full month. 4 weeks to be precise… so not technically 1 calendar month. We had a big celebration (big as in many people… not that it was super grand or lavish… haha) at the condo function room. Food was catered, decorations we did ourselves.

Baby was her usual good self. I think they probably don’t cry much yet at this time? So she was passed from one person to the next. In fact she was practically carried by someone or other the entire time… the stroller we brought down was, well, not used except as a trolley to help cart some of the stuffs back when it came to packing up time. When relatives or friends ask where’s the baby… “eh, hmm, hmm, well somewhere, there’s only one baby around, so think you can just look around and find” :)

This is probably the first time baby Vanessa has been in such a big crowd fussing over her. And inspite of all the noise and commotion, she could still sleep peacefully.
