Baby At Suntec Koi Garden

Thursday, November 20th, 2008

Baby Vanessa went galavanting around Suntec City with her daddy (me) recently, and we ended up at the Koi Garden. I bought her a packet of fish food to feed the Koi fishes in the pond. Vanessa was rather careful with the feed she was dishing out to the fishes, so we ended up taking quite long to finish up that packet of feed.

Princess Vanessa’s Bubble Crown

Thursday, November 20th, 2008

This is Princess Vanessa, all dressed up in her crown of bubbles. She is thoroughly enjoying her bubble bath. Actually I guess she generally likes water a lot, because she also enjoys splashing around in the swimming pool (it is like her giant bath tub). The other babies her age in the pool generally look to be rather apprehensive of the water. But Vanessa is quite the opposite, totally exhilarated splashing water all over.

Baby Compatible Food

Monday, November 17th, 2008

This is the Shoyu Ramen from Ajisen Ramen. It is a set promotion that comes with drink and two sides. It’s quite nice (I usually like Ajisen’s ramen anyway). Usually I would order something somewhat spicy, since I like spicy food. But nowadays, the choice of food is sometimes influenced or determined by compatibility with baby Vanessa. Heh.

Vanessa’s Halloween Costume

Saturday, November 1st, 2008

Vanessa attended her first Halloween party last night. The party was organized by our condominium. All the kids were supposed to be dressed up in costumes. Adults were spared. Vanessa was dressed up in a pumpkin costume made by my wife, and here in the photo, she’s holding on to her cousin’s sword.

Artist At Work

Friday, October 3rd, 2008

Vanessa has started to draw. Here’s a picture of her trying to create her drawing master piece. Doesn’t she look like she’s very serious with her work? Ha ha, we’ll be lucky if most of the ink or whatever the colours are made off get onto the paper, because she also likes to draw on her own arm! She looks like more grown up than the 1.5 years old she actually is. Oh yes, Vanessa is exactly 18 months old today!

Dinner at Oscar’s

Sunday, August 31st, 2008

After our excursion to Comex, we headed over to Conrad for dinner at Oscar’s. We were feeling slightly obliged to dine at Conrad after having exploited their valet car parking services. You know how it is like when Comex is around, practically every car park in the Marina area is full.

Celebrating National Day

Saturday, August 9th, 2008

This is Vanessa celebrating National Day. This is her 2nd National Day, but the first she is celebrating since she was too little to be involved in anyway with the 1st. This year, the cashier at Cold Storage gave Vanessa a little Singapore flag, and she was happily waving it around (and chewing the plastic stick too later!).

Vanessa Having Fun With Water

Wednesday, July 30th, 2008

We brought Vanessa to the Jacob Ballas Children’s Garden last weekend for some photo taking. At the end of it, she (and the other kids) were playing around in the water feature. Vanessa was having so much fun with the water. She tried to stand exactly where the water would land on her face. Then, she was practically tasting a bit of all the water that was spouting out from all over the water feature.

Vanessa Loves To Order Food

Tuesday, July 15th, 2008

A few days ago, we were at the Crystal Jade Shanghai Restaurant at Changi Airport Terminal 3. Vanessa asked for the menu (yes, she can… just need to stretch out her hand, the menu comes to her), and she starting flipping the cover. Page one was this full page photo of dumplings. She was glued onto the page. I tried to flip to other pages to point out there were other foods in the menu too. But she quickly turned back to page one.

Vanessa Loves Her Bed

Tuesday, July 15th, 2008

Vanessa so loves her new bed. The moment the Carrefour delivery man set down the bed, she was eyeing it. The moment we had the plastic wrap removed and laid the bed on the floor, she climed straight into it and laid flat on it. Then she got up, played around with the pillow, the pillow case, then laid down again. Then she climbed out, climbed back in… funny how a bed can be so entertaining.

Phoebe and Rascal were fussing around too. I guess they must be a little jealous that baby has nice comfy bed.
