I Ordered a Second MacBook

Last weekend, I ordered a MacBook, my first ever original Apple product. The MacBook arrived earlier than expected, and it was really cool. Today, I ordered my second ever Apple product, the MacBook again. Unfortunately, it wasn’t because I was so impressed with the first that I had to order another, but that there was a defect with the first one and, oddly enough, the fastest way to get it fixed was to buy another. Sadly, my otherwise pleasant experience…

Nokia Music Store Opens in Singapore

Just received an email from Nokia. Their Nokia Music Store is now open in Singapore. It is an online store, by the way, and if you’re wondering why if it is online does it matter where the store is opened? Good question. But Nokia isn’t the only company doing their online business this way. It’s a pity that you’d need Microsoft Internet Explorer to experience the Nokia Music Store. I’m just curious how well this will take off here. It…

Under Promise, Over Deliver

You’ve probably heard this many times: Under promise, over deliver. This is one of the mantras sold to companies to improve customer satisfaction. This is the service strategy to wow your customers. But I’ll tell you, it doesn’t always work, and sometimes it does get annoying. Why not just deliver as promised? This would be good enough for me.

MacBook On The Way

I’ve finally clicked the “Buy Now” button and followed through to order the MacBook 2.4GHz. It will be delivered in a couple of days. It has taken me quite a long while to decide on going ahead with the MacBook. Originally, I was actually looking at the MacBook Air. Then, there was the consideration of, if I were to get the MacBook, whether or not to wait for the upcoming model refresh. Well, here’s the story of how I ended…

It will be about the same size and shape, although slightly thicker than the original iPhone. The whole phone will be glossy black (as opposed to the metal back in the original iPhone).

WordPress 2.5.1 Security Update

WordPress 2.5.1 was just released yesterday to fix one very important security vulnerability. Although the details of the vulnerability has not yet been made public, it will be soon. If your WordPress blog supports open registration (as do most default installations), it is particularly important to upgrade. There’s also a bunch of other bug fixes and performance enhancements, so it is a good all-around upgrade anyway.

Accident With A Bus – Update

I’m quite lucky. There was video footage of the accident! The video clearly showed both the bus and my car, and that the bus reversed into my car. Furthermore, it was caught on more than one video camera too! This is quite fortunate, since the vehicle behind typically gets the blame for such accidents. The video will definitely help in my claim. (Sorry can’t post it online since…)

Accident With A Bus

A really unfortunately thing happened in the afternoon today. A bus reversed into my car. I was behind this bus, which was in turn behind another pickup, all at the exit of a car park. The bus suddenly reversed (probably because the pickup reversed), and collided into my car. The trouble with automatic transmissions is that they take some time to engage. The bus driver just didn’t bother to look, and there wasn’t enough time for me to reverse out…

Paulaner Brahaus

The pork knuckle at Paulaner Brahaus is pretty good. Nice and crispy. They also have a boiled version. Wonder how that one tastes like. — Posted from my N95 Lifeblog.
