Last week LTA very stoically announced how the MRT has gotten more reliable despite a rise in major breakdown. Yes, I know, we are all shaking our heads in disbelief. This is what happens when you ownself check ownself, you can ownself position own goalpost. It seems SMRT played along, then perhaps felt exceedingly embarrassed.
Initially, it looked like SMRT was quite smug about themselves. You see, they posted an article on their blog site, an article that has since been removed, to talk about this more-breakdowns-but-more-reliable story.
Thanks to Google Cache, we know the post existed.
Here’s the cache link, and the page capture in case the cache disappears.
Now, you can see that it’s not on their blog website anymore.
I suppose someone at SMRT has felt highly embarrassed about the nonsense and decided to remove that page.
The reliability of their breakdowns have indeed increased. We’ll have to give them that. Who was it again that wanted to reduce MTBF?
