Yeah, she was angry with me last night. It’s quite easy to tell. I came home slightly late. She was watching TV, and totally ignored me and didn’t want to “hew” me at all. We usually go out for a walk, but she was not interested last night. I had to tempt her with some money to go buy drinks from the vending machine before her interest was aroused. Mummy had brought her to the zoo in the morning. Papa didn’t go, because he had to work. Too many things to do at work. Then, papa came didn’t go pick her up after work either. So I guess Vanessa was upset.
But she couldn’t resist the temptation to go “tong” money into the vending machine. So she got up and followed me into the lift to go downstairs. But she didn’t want me to carry her or hold her hands. Well, each time I tried, I could hold briefly but not for very long. She was tired, but didn’t want me to carry. Eventually, she let me carry her after putting up a feeble resistance (too tired I guess). However, she would sit upright and refused to lean on my shoulder or put her arms around my back.
So we walked, and we walked. Vanessa was getting tired. Her eyes were closing. I tried to support her back, so she wouldn’t fall backward. If I try to shift her to lean onto my shoulder, she would fiercely push away.
Soon, she was struggling to keep her eyes open. But Vanessa still refused to lean on my shoulder. We walked a bit more. Lo and behold, she had finally nodded off to sleep.
Well, at least she allowed me to put her to bed.
(The above photo is not the angry Vanessa…)
