I took Vanessa out for breakfast yesterday. We went to the Botanic Gardens after dropping mummy off at work. I was really surprised at how crowded the Botanic Gardens was on a weekday. There’s a queue getting into the car park in the weekend mornings, but the queue moves. Yesterday, the queue to the nearer car park was simply not moving. I gave up and tried the alternate car park. It was still a long long wait. When I finally got to go in, the car park was in fact still full. I couldn’t find any empty lots, and had to hang around further. I think I must have spent like 30 mins getting my car parked.
Vanessa was getting impatient with her breakfast. I ordered a breakfast set to share with her. The bread basket came first. I forgot the utensils, so I went back to get them. When I got back, Vanessa already had a slice of bread in her hand, and one corner of it was already bitten off. Yeah, she didn’t wait for me, she had already started on her bread. It’s so funny how excited she was with the bread at that point, because when the “main course” arrived, she promptly refused to eat any more bread. There was egg on the plate, and she much prefers egg.
So, her obsession moved from the bread to the egg. Yes, until I pointed out to her that there was also hash brown on the plate. Heh. Hash brown must rank the highest priority in her list of favourite food items. So now, she only wants the hash brown. No egg, no bread. At least, until she ran out of hash brown, then she wanted back the egg. When the egg ran out, she settled for the bread.
