I’ve been so busy lately, the backlog of blog postings are piling up. Mother’s Day lunch was almost three weeks ago, but it’s only now that I’m getting around to post it. The lunch was at the Bukit Room of the Singapore Island Country Club (Bukit location, where else). The problem is that my memory isn’t very good, so I don’t have much impression of the food anymore. Except, that the prawns were nice, and the fish maw soup too.
Bukit Room is a Chinese restaurant. It’s probably members-only. The ambience is nothing spectacular, service nothing to boast about, but I guess the food is reasonably good. I don’t know about the price though.
There was too much to eat, partly so because we also had a cake.
The lunch festivities were interrupted by Vanessa’s accident with a coffee table outside the restaurant. Yeah, as kids grow up and start running and climbing around, they naturally become quite accident prone. Vanessa collided with the edge of the coffee table. Her gums bled. Fortunately the accident wasn’t as bad as it might have been, although it’s the worst that Vanessa has experienced so far.
