Amazon Prime Comes to SG

Amazon today launches the Amazon Prime membership programme in Singapore. In the U.S., Prime is a popular membership program that provides exclusive access to a variety of benefits, and now some of these benefits will be offered to Singapore members.

For example, Prime members in Singapore will enjoy exclusive free two-hour delivery on orders over S$40 from Prime Now, as well as unlimited free international shipping on orders above S$60 on more than 5 million items shipped from Amazon U.S. You still shop using the Prime Now app, and for international shopping, look for the International tab at the button of the app.

There are more benefits to the Prime membership. Singapore members will enjoy unlimited access to Amazon Prime Originals like the highly-anticipated second season of The Grand Tour premiering on 8 December, as well as other shows, movies and more on Prime Video. Some popular movies and TV shows to watch out for are Fear the Walking Dead, Seinfeld, Justified, The Transformers franchise and Mission Impossible franchise.

For gamers, members also have access to gaming benefits with Twitch Prime at no additional cost.

Amazon Prime in Singapore will be available for S$8.99 per month; however for a limited time, customers can sign up for S$2.99 per month. A free 30-day trial is available. Sign up at www.amazon.com.sg.

It was a pity to find the AmazonGlobal Saver shipping programme removed yesterday, but perhaps the new Prime membership in Singapore brings back some excitement. It’s just in time for Christmas shopping too!
