Yoshoku Kitchen

040420092491I visited Yoshoku Kitchen a while ago for lunch. It’s a Japanese restaurant located at Serene Centre. One of the highlights of the restaurant is their a la carte Japanese buffet, which they serve for $29 (if my memory serves me correctly). The a la carte buffet menu lists a good selection of a little over a hundred items. The food served is pretty good. The sashimi is relatively good too, although I hesitate to be generous with my praises after having just recently been spoilt by excellent sashimi at Akashi Japanese Restaurant.

I didn’t really pick lots of items. Of those that I tried, I think these are nice: tuna sashimi, spider maki, tempura, chawan mushi, breaded prawn, and garlic rice.

They also have other items on their menu (not buffet style), which all seemed to be reasonably priced. Overall, service is quick, and the food is nice. Yoshoku Kitchen seems to have received quite mixed reviews from what I can find on the Internet. I don’t think the a la carte buffet is really excellent value for money, but at any rate, it is something worth trying.

  1. Don’t know why this Yoshoku Kitchen sounds like Shinjoku Incident for me. lol. In malaysia the best Japanese buffet is Jogoya and I think Jogoya should be more expensive but delicious than Yoshoku Kitchen. 🙂
